2.4 Warranty fine print to hunt for
- Monthly Service Plans: some "Platinum" warranty plans charge a separate monthly fee that customers assume is bundled into the contract.
- Non-transferable clauses: the warranty doesn't carry over to a new homeowner when you sell.
- Class-action waiver / mandatory arbitration: if the company defrauds a class of customers, you can only arbitrate individually — you cannot join a group lawsuit or collect from a class settlement.
